We are looking for a few talented teenage actors, with a playing range of 14-16 to take part in a library footage video shoot based in a secondary school. Concepts will include both academic and social scenes, for which we are looking for a very natural acting style. Everyone will also have their own featured scenes - great showreel material. All will be filmed to a high standard, by an award winning filmmaker, with a cinematic style, and a lot of attention to detail, using professional equipment, dollies, crane etc. You will be well fed and looked after, and we are able to pay £50 plus travel expenses. A young girl roughly from 12-16. Free flowing and caught up in the darkness as the victim of this murder. The girl is a beacon of light and contrast between the two men and the forest. Power of the Dogs is a short independent film being produced by an up and coming production company. The film tells the story of Hurst, a lone man haunted by his conscience, and of the rituals he has set up to cope with reality. In a bout of uncontrolled vigilante outrage Hurst kills the murderer of a young local girl, but instead of feeling proud for having served justice, his world falls apart. As an act of penance he chooses a life of solitude in the middle of an expansive forest, making an old abandoned edifice his new home. The film will explore themes of guilt and acceptance. It will look at what efforts we strive to for protecting ourselves and how we try to gain control. Our locations will mainly be in Edinburgh and the outskirts and we will be shooting for roughly just over a week from the 26th of March-2nd of April. Long Weekend is a short 10 minute film telling the story of an estranged father and son who are brought together for one last holiday in their old caravan. The caravan that had held, every year, their father and son fishing trips, has now fallen into disrepair. Many years have since past and the son is now a grown businessman, from a world completely separated to his father's. Over the course of a long weekend their relationship is pushed to its limits as the father desperately attempts to reconnect with his son and return to the happy memories of years gone by. Shooting will take place from the 17th March to 24th and will take place in Leeds and two days in Scarborough. Child Actor will only be required for one day of principle shoot in Leeds, and one day in Scarborough.
